Suppliers | General Overview

The Suppliers section in Orbit allows you to discover and connect with third-party suppliers, import their products into your store, and keep stock, pricing, and product details in sync automatically.

From here you can browse the supplier directory, connect to a supplier, import and map their products, review incoming product updates, and raise purchase orders — all from one place.

Accessing Suppliers

To access Suppliers:

• From the left-hand menu, go to Suppliers.

The Suppliers page will open, showing the supplier directory.

Suppliers overview

The Suppliers page is organised into three tabs:

• Available — suppliers you can connect to but have not yet connected with.

• Active — suppliers you are currently connected to and importing products from.

• Pending requests — suppliers you have requested access to and are awaiting approval from.

Understanding the supplier directory

Each supplier in the directory is shown as a card. A supplier card displays:

• The supplier name and logo

• An access mode badge

• The supplier’s location

• A short description of what they supply

• The categories they sell in

• The number of products available

• Their supplier rating

The access mode badge tells you how you can connect with that supplier:

• Open — connect instantly, with no approval needed.

• Password — enter a password the supplier has given you in order to connect.

• Approval required — request access and wait for the supplier to approve you.

Pending updates

When a connected supplier adds new products or changes existing ones, Orbit shows a pending updates banner at the top of the Suppliers page. Click Review updates to view the changes and choose which ones to accept or dismiss.

Searching the directory

Use the Search field to find a supplier by name, category, or description. This is useful when the directory contains a large number of suppliers.

Why suppliers are important

Connecting with suppliers allows you to grow your catalogue without holding stock yourself. Products are imported directly from the supplier, and Orbit keeps the details you choose in sync, so you spend less time on manual updates.

By using the Suppliers section, you can:

• Discover new suppliers and the products they offer

• Import products into your store in a few clicks

• Keep stock levels and pricing up to date automatically

• Review and approve supplier changes before they go live

• Raise and track purchase orders with your suppliers

The Suppliers section gives you a single place to manage every supplier relationship and keep your catalogue accurate.
