Getting Started | Store Onboarding Wizard

When you create a store, Orbit opens the onboarding wizard — a five-step checklist that gets the essentials in place before you start selling. Each step can be completed or skipped individually, and your progress is saved, so you can come back at any time.

Step 1: Business

1. What type of business do you run? — choose the closest match. This tailors your dashboard experience.

2. How many products do you plan to sell? — a rough range is fine.

3. Select Continue to save the step, or Skip this to move on without answering.

Step 2: Payment

Add the bank account you want your sales earnings paid out to:

1. Bank name

2. Account number

3. Account holder name

Your payment information is securely stored and only used to transfer your earnings. You can add or update these details later under Settings.

Step 3: Shipping

1. Default shipping method — the delivery option customers see by default at checkout.

2. Review the Shipping tips — a few pointers for zones and free-shipping thresholds. You can configure detailed shipping rules in Settings later.

Step 4: Tax

1. Enable automatic tax calculation — Orbit calculates taxes based on your products and customer locations.

2. Tax registration number (optional) — used for proper invoicing where required.

Step 5: Finalize

1. Custom store URL (optional) — your store's address on myorbitcommerce.net.

2. Store logo — appears in your storefront header and at checkout. Upload a new image or select an existing one from your media library.

Complete the step and you are taken straight to your dashboard, ready to add products and customise your store further.

Skipping and resuming

In a hurry? Use Skip this on any step, or Skip all for now to leave the wizard entirely. Until everything is complete, a banner at the top of your dashboard lets you jump back in — select Complete setup to pick up exactly where you left off.

Tips

• Nothing in the wizard is final — every setting can be changed later under Settings.

• The Restart onboarding link at the bottom of the wizard takes you back to step 1.
