Troubleshooting | Plugin Not Appearing or Not Working

Installed a plugin but can't find it, or it's installed but dead? Activation, subscription state and sidebar placement.

Plugin issues come in two shapes: “I can't find it” and “it's there but dead”. Both are usually a state problem, not a fault.

Can't find it after installing

  1. Check Plugins → My Plugins — it should show as Installed there. Not in the list? The install never completed; do it again.

  2. Look in the sidebar's Installed Plugins section (below Settings) — active plugins add their entries there, and a collapsed sidebar hides the section.

  3. Refresh the browser after installing — the sidebar builds its plugin entries at load.

There but dead or “subscription required”

  1. It's installed but not active — open it in My Plugins and activate it. Installed and active are different states.

  2. Subscription state — paid plugins run on a trial or subscription. A “Subscription required” or renew prompt means the trial ended or the subscription lapsed; the plugin page tells you which.

  3. Permissions — some plugins appear only to roles with the right access. If a teammate can't see it, check their role (Settings → Team).

Third-party plugin won't load its page

Plugins from partners run as embedded apps — “Connecting to plugin…” that never finishes points at the partner's service, not your store. Check their status page or retry shortly; then support with the plugin name and when it started.
