Invite your team, give everyone exactly the access they need with premade roles, and build custom roles permission by permission.

Settings → Team is where you invite people and control exactly what each of them can see and do in your store. Your plan sets the seat count — the page shows your usage (for example 1 of 10 team members).

Members

The Members tab lists everyone with their role, status and last-active time. To add someone, select Invite Team Member and send the invitation — they accept by email and appear here. Use a member's menu to change their role or remove them; removing access is immediate.

Roles

Roles are bundles of permissions. The premade system roles cover the common jobs:

  • Store Owner — full control of one store (all permissions).

  • Store Administrator — store operations with no destructive powers.

  • Store Staff — read-heavy, limited write access for day-to-day work.

  • Marketing — discounts, campaigns, content pages and analytics.

  • Catalog Manager — products, categories, brands and media.

  • Fulfillment — picking, packing, shipping and stock levels.

System roles cannot be modified — each shows its exact permission count so you know what you are handing out. To copy one as a starting point, use the duplicate icon on its row.

Custom roles

Select Create role to build your own: name it, then tick exactly the permissions it gets — read and write are separate, so “can see orders but not refund them” is a first-class option. Assign the role to members from the Members tab.

Tips

  • Least privilege by default: start everyone on Store Staff and promote the few who need more.

  • Payment setup has its own permission — keep it with the owner and finance only.

  • Review the list quarterly; last-active dates make stale access obvious.
