Troubleshooting | Checkout Failures & Declined Payments
Customers can't complete checkout? Distinguish payment declines from missing shipping rates from genuine faults — and where each lives.
“Checkout doesn't work” arrives as one complaint but has three very different causes. The trick is telling them apart — the symptom says which.

1. “No shipping available for your address”
The most common real configuration fault. It means no shipping zone covers the customer's address, or no rate in that zone matches their basket:
Check Settings → Shipping: does a zone cover the country in question?
Do the zone's rates cover the basket's weight/price? A rate that stops at 10kg fails an 11kg basket.
Prove it with the Rate Tester — enter the failing address and basket; you see exactly what a customer would be offered (see Settings | Shipping Carriers & Rate Tester).
2. Payment declined
A card decline is the customer's bank saying no, not your store:
One decline is normal — insufficient funds, a cautious fraud system, a typo'd CVC. Ask them to retry or use another card.
Every customer declined = different story: check your Payments page for a verification or account issue affecting all charges.
3. Genuine checkout errors
An error message or a spinning checkout that never completes:
Check Abandoned Checkouts — a spike today versus yesterday is the shape of a real fault.
Try it yourself in a private window. If you reproduce it, note the exact step and message.
Report with: what you did, what happened, the time, and a screenshot. Checkout issues get priority attention when they're reproducible.
Tips
The abandoned-checkout list is your early-warning dashboard — a sudden rise after a settings change means the change, not the customers.
