Settings | Payment Methods

The Payment Settings section in Orbit Commerce allows you to configure how you accept payments from your customers. You can connect Orbit Payments to take card, digital wallet, and Buy Now Pay Later payments online, and enable manual payment methods such as bank transfer and cash on delivery.

The Payment Settings section in Orbit Commerce allows you to configure how you accept payments from your customers. You can connect Orbit Payments to take card, digital wallet, and Buy Now Pay Later payments online, and enable manual payment methods such as bank transfer and cash on delivery.

From here you can connect a payment account, choose which online payment methods to accept, and turn manual payment methods on or off with their own customer instructions.

Accessing Payment Settings

To access Payment Settings:

  • From the left-hand menu, go to Settings.

  • Select Store, then open the Payment Settings tab.

The Payment Settings page will open, showing your online and manual payment options.

Orbit Payments

Orbit Payments, powered by Stripe, lets you accept online payments directly through your store. Once connected, you can take payments using:

  • Cards — Visa, Mastercard, and Amex.

  • Digital Wallets — Apple Pay and Google Pay.

  • Buy Now Pay Later — Klarna and Affirm.

To start accepting these payments, click Connect Payment Account and follow the steps to set up your account. Your customers’ payments are processed securely, and funds are deposited directly into your bank.

Manual Payment Methods

Manual payment methods are offline options such as bank transfer, cash on delivery, cheque, or a custom workflow you handle yourself. Your customers see your instructions at checkout, and you mark the order paid once you have received funds.

The following manual methods are available:

  • Bank Transfer (BACS) — the customer transfers funds to one of your bank accounts. Best for B2B and higher-value orders.

  • Cash on Delivery — the customer pays in cash when the order is delivered.

To enable a manual method:

  1. Use the toggle on the method to switch it on.

  2. Enter the instructions you would like your customers to see at checkout.

  3. Save your changes.

You can turn each method on or off at any time using its toggle, so only the methods you currently offer appear at checkout.

Why payment methods are important

Offering the right mix of payment methods makes it easier for customers to complete their purchase and helps you reach more buyers. Connecting Orbit Payments lets you accept popular online methods securely, while manual methods give you flexibility for orders that are settled offline.

By configuring your Payment Settings, you can:

  • Accept card, digital wallet, and Buy Now Pay Later payments online

  • Have funds processed securely and deposited into your bank

  • Offer manual options such as bank transfer and cash on delivery

  • Give customers clear instructions for offline payments

  • Switch each payment method on or off as your needs change
