Storefront & Themes | SEO per Page

Titles, meta descriptions and social cards for every page of your store — the twenty minutes per page that compound.

Global SEO settings (Settings → SEO) set the store's defaults. The wins are per-page: each page's own title and description decide what shows in a search result and whether anyone clicks it.

Where per-page SEO lives

  • Pages — the page editor's SEO section: title, meta description, social image.

  • Products — the Search engine listing section of the product editor (same three fields, per product).

  • Categories and blog posts — their own SEO fields in their editors.

Writing ones that earn clicks

  • Title — lead with the thing, not the brand: “Aalto Oak Lounge Chair — Wool & Solid Oak” over “Lumen & Oak | Products | Chairs | Aalto”. ~60 characters before truncation.

  • Description — one or two sentences that answer “why this page”. Include the price hook or the differentiator. ~155 characters.

  • Social image — override the store default when the page deserves its own card.

Prioritise

Homepage, top five categories, top ten products, best blog posts — that set is most of your search traffic. The rest can inherit defaults until they earn attention.

Tips

  • Never duplicate the same title across pages — search engines pick one and ignore the rest.
