The SEO settings area in Orbit Commerce allows you to manage how your store appears in search engines and when your website is shared on social media platforms.

From here, you can configure your homepage meta information, control how search engines crawl your store using robots.txt, and access your automatically generated sitemap.
Accessing SEO Settings
To access the SEO settings:
From the Orbit admin panel, go to Settings.
Select SEO.
This opens the SEO Settings page, where you can manage homepage SEO, robots.txt rules, and your sitemap.

Homepage SEO
The Homepage SEO section allows you to set the default meta tags for your store homepage.
These details may appear in search engine results and when your homepage is shared on social media.
Meta Title
The Meta Title is the title shown as the clickable headline in search engine results.
Meta Description
The Meta Description is a short summary of your store.
This is usually displayed below the page title in search results, helping customers understand what your store offers before clicking.
Social Sharing Image
The Social Sharing Image is the image displayed when your store is shared on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter/X, or other social media channels.

Once you have added or updated your homepage SEO details, click Save Homepage SEO.
Robots.txt
The Robots.txt section allows you to control which pages search engines can crawl.
A robots.txt file gives instructions to web crawlers, telling them which URLs they are allowed or not allowed to access.
This helps prevent private, transactional, or system-related pages from appearing in search results.
You can also click Reset to Default if you want to restore the default robots.txt rules.

Sitemap
Orbit automatically generates a sitemap for your storefront.
The sitemap helps search engines discover and index your store content, including published products, collections, and pages.
The sitemap is kept up to date automatically as you add or modify content in your store.
You can view your sitemap from the Sitemap section by clicking View Sitemap.
You can submit this sitemap URL to tools such as Google Search Console to help search engines discover your content more efficiently.
