Storefront & Themes | Favicon & Social Share Images
The 32-pixel icon in the browser tab and the image that appears when your store is shared — small assets, outsized impression.
Two tiny assets do more for first impressions than most homepage redesigns: the favicon and the social share image.

Favicon
The small icon in the browser tab, bookmarks bar and phone home screen. Upload it in your store's branding settings (alongside the logo). Use a simple mark — your logo's icon, not the full wordmark — at 512×512; browsers scale it down. A store with the default or missing favicon reads as unfinished in a tab bar of twenty.
Social share image (OG image)
When anyone pastes your store link into WhatsApp, Facebook, LinkedIn or a text message, the preview card pulls your share image. Set it in the SEO settings (Settings → SEO):
1200×630 pixels is the standard canvas.
Show the brand and the best product or lifestyle shot — it's an advert you make once.
Keep critical content central; some platforms crop the edges.
Test before you campaign
Paste your homepage link into a message to yourself and look at the card. Do the same with a product page — product pages pull their primary image, which is one more reason the primary image matters (see Products | Media, Images & Alt Text).
