Settings & Configuration | Units, Timezone & Locale
Measurement units, timezone and regional formats — the quiet settings that make weights, dates and reports read correctly.
A handful of settings under Settings → Store Settings decide how your store measures and timestamps the world. Set them once at setup and forget them — or inherit confusion forever.

Timezone
Drives order timestamps, analytics day boundaries, scheduled sales and publish times. Everything dated is in this timezone. Choose where the business operates, not where the server is.
Units of measurement
Weight and dimension units (grams/kilograms/pounds, centimetres/inches) used for product weights and shipping calculations. Shipping rates that key on weight assume these units — mixing systems (entering pounds into a kilogram field) produces creatively wrong shipping quotes.
Locale and language
The dashboard is available in many languages — each team member picks their own under their account preferences, without affecting anyone else or the storefront. Regional formats (dates, number separators) follow the locale.
Tips
Change timezone only with care after launch — scheduled promotions and report boundaries shift with it.
Weights wrong everywhere at once? Check the unit setting before re-entering a hundred product weights.
