Settings & Configuration | The Email Template Editor

Customise the emails your store sends — order confirmations, shipping updates, password resets — with the visual template editor.

Every email your store sends — order confirmation, shipping update, abandoned checkout, password reset — is a template you can customise. Settings → Email Templates lists them; the editor makes them yours.

Editing a template

  1. Open the template from the list (they're grouped by purpose — orders, accounts, marketing).

  2. Edit visually: text, layout, your logo and colours. The editor shows a live preview with sample data as you work, so “what the customer sees” is never a guess.

  3. Save. The next email of that type sends with your version.

Template variables

Emails fill themselves in with variables — customer name, order number, items, totals. Keep the variable placeholders intact when you edit around them; a broken variable prints as raw code in the customer's inbox, and the preview is where you catch that.

Good practice

  • Match your storefront's branding (logo, colours, tone) — an order email that looks like your store builds trust; a generic one gets squinted at.

  • Keep transactional emails transactional: order confirmations that upsell aggressively end up filtered as marketing.

  • Send yourself a test after each edit and read it on your phone — most customers will.
