Products | Tags
Tags are invisible labels that power your automation — search rules, discount scopes and feature sets all listen to them.
Tags are lightweight labels you add to products in the Taxonomy, brand & tags section — type in the Tags field and pick or create one. Customers never have to see them; their job is to be listened to by other features.

What tags drive
Advanced Search rules — hide every product tagged trade-only from guest search in one rule.
Discount scopes — a code that only works on products tagged sale.
Product Features sets — show a specific highlight block on every product tagged furniture-care.
B2B catalogue rules — price everything tagged contract at a negotiated rate.
New products inherit all of this the moment you tag them — which is why tags beat listing products one by one in rules.
Tips
Pick a naming convention early (lowercase, hyphenated: trade-only, black-friday) and stick to it — tags are case-sensitive in practice and messy tags make fragile rules.
Retire tags when a campaign ends; an abandoned tag that still feeds a discount rule is a slow leak.
