Loyalty Points lets customers earn points on their orders and trade them for products you choose. Every order builds towards a reward, which gives customers a reason to come back. Open it under Plugins > Loyalty Points. Your plan and trial status sit at the top of the page; everything below is the program itself.

Earning

  1. Loyalty program enabled

Turns the program on or off on your storefront. Customer balances are kept while it is off.

  1. Earning mode

Choose how points are calculated. Points per amount spent awards a set number of points per unit of your store currency spent, before shipping and tax. Fixed points per order awards the same number of points for every completed order, whatever its value. Enter the number of points in the field below the mode.

  1. Save changes

Each card on this page saves separately, so remember to save every card you change.

Branding

  1. Points name

What customers see — for example Stars or Coins. Leave it as Points if you prefer.

  1. Primary colour

Used for the loyalty balance and rewards elements on your storefront. Select the swatch to change it.

Rewards

  1. Allow customers to redeem points for products

When on, customers can spend their balance on the rewards below at checkout.

  1. Add reward

Search for a product, enter its price in points, then select Add reward. Any product in your catalog can be a reward.

  1. Your rewards

Each reward has a toggle, an editable points price and a remove button. Switch a reward off to hide it from customers without deleting it. Change the points price and select the tick to save it. Removing a reward never affects customer balances.

Customers

  1. Search

Find a customer by name or email.

  1. Balances

The table lists every customer in your program with their current balance, lifetime earned and lifetime redeemed.

  1. Adjust

Opens a balance adjustment for that customer. Enter a positive number to add points or a negative number to deduct them, with an optional note for your records. You cannot deduct more points than the customer has.

What customers see

Customers see their points balance and your rewards on your storefront, presented with your points name and primary colour. At checkout they can spend their balance on any active reward.

Tips

  • Price rewards so a typical repeat customer can actually reach one. Check the Customers card for real balances before you set points prices.

  • Fixed points per order is easier to explain — ‘earn 10 points on every order’. Points per amount spent scales with basket size.

  • Turning the program off never wipes balances, so you can pause it safely while you rework your rewards.
