Plugins | 3D Product Configurator

The 3D Product Configurator lets customers spin, zoom and configure your products in 3D — and view them in their own room with augmented reality on supported phones and tablets. It is ideal for furniture, lighting and anything customers want to see from every angle before buying.

How setup works

You set up the 3D viewer on each product — there is nothing else to manage on the plugin page beyond your subscription:

1. Open a product and go to the 3D Configurator section (under Plugins in the product editor). Use Go to Products to jump straight to your catalogue.

2. Upload one GLB model in the product's Media section, then map your options (colour, finish, size) to it.

3. In the page builder, drop the 3D Configurator element onto the product page template.

On the product

The 3D Configurator section of the product editor shows whether the product has a model yet. Upload a .glb file in the product's Media section, then come back here to switch on the configurator for that product. One GLB per product — your variant options (colour, finish, size) map onto it.

Plugin settings

Global settings control the viewer experience:

• Augmented reality — show the “View in your room” AR button on supported phones and tablets.

• Auto-rotate — slowly spin the model when the customer is not interacting with it.

• Background colour — the hex colour behind the model; leave empty for a transparent background.

• Lighting — the studio lighting preset used to light the model. Neutral is recommended for accurate colours.

Select Save changes to apply. Reset returns everything to the defaults.

Tips

• Keep GLB files small — compressed models load faster and convert better on mobile connections.

• AR is the feature customers remember; leave it on unless your models are not true to scale.
