Adding a call to action

The Call to Action element is a promotional box with a heading, a line of text and a button. Use it to push customers towards one action, such as shopping a sale or signing up. You can add a picture and a second button.

Considerations

• The picture, the eyebrow label, the subheading and the second button are off until you turn them on.
• The heading level is yours to pick, from H1 to H6.

Add the element

1. Open the page in the page builder.
2. In the toolbox on the far left, click Elements.
3. Find Call to Action in the Basic group, or search for it.
4. Drag it onto the canvas and drop it where you want it. The settings panel opens on Editing Call to Action.

Write the message and set the buttons

1. With the element selected, open the Content tab.
2. Under Layout, pick a Layout Preset. If you pick Image beside text, choose the Image Side.
3. Under Image, paste an address into Image Source or click Browse. Fill in Alt Text.
4. Under Heading, type the Text and pick the Tag.
5. Under Body Text, type the supporting line.
6. Under Primary Button, type the Label and the Link. Turn on Open in New Tab if the link leaves your shop.
7. For a second button, turn on Show Secondary Button and fill in its Label and Link.

Content settings

• Layout Preset: Image above text, Image beside text, Image as background or No image (text only).
• Eyebrow Label: a short line above the heading. Set Variant to Ribbon (pill chip) or Plain label.
• Image: the picture, with Alt Text, Object Fit and Aspect Ratio.
• Subheading: a second line of text. Turn it on with Show Subheading.
• Heading: the main line, with its level in Tag.
• Body Text: the supporting line.
• Primary Button and Secondary Button: each has a Label, a Link and Open in New Tab.

Design settings

Open the Design tab to change the look. The groups are Layout & Alignment, Box Background, Box Style, Typography, Button Style, Hover Effect, Border and Spacing.
