Most stores lose a meaningful share of checkouts between “add to cart” and “pay”. Orders → Abandoned Checkouts is where you see them — and where some of that revenue comes back.

Reading the list

Each abandoned checkout shows the customer (when they got far enough to give an email), what was in the basket, and when they walked away. Open one for the full detail: items, totals, and where in checkout they stopped.

Winning them back

  • Recovery emails — switch on and tune the abandoned-cart email sequence under Settings → Abandoned Cart (see Settings & Configuration | Abandoned Cart). A well-timed reminder with the basket contents is the single highest-ROI email most stores send.

  • The personal touch — for big baskets, a direct email or call from the checkout record itself. “Your sofa is still here” from a human converts at rates automation envies.

Tips

  • Check patterns, not just individual carts: a spike of abandonment at the shipping step usually means your rates, not your customers.

  • A small recovery discount code in the second email pays for itself — measure it in your discount usage reports.

  • Abandonment is normal. Recover a slice of it and the list pays for your attention every week.
