Inventory Planning watches your stock for you: set a reorder point on the items you want watched, and when available stock falls to it the item is flagged Reorder right where you can act on it. Planning only drives alerts and the digest — it never changes stock numbers by itself. Available on the Enterprise plan.

The planning table

One row per item, per location, with everything that matters for a restock decision:

• Available and Incoming — on-hand now versus what open purchase orders will deliver.

• Velocity/day and Days of stock — how fast the item sells and how long current stock lasts at that rate.

• ABC — the item's class by sales contribution, so A-items get the tightest watch.

• Reorder point and Safety stock — your thresholds, editable inline.

• Status — the verdict: Not set, OK, Reorder, or Urgent when you are at or below safety stock.

Setting it up

1. Type a reorder point into the item's row — when available stock falls to it, the item shows here as Reorder.

2. Optionally add safety stock — the buffer you never want to dip below. At or under it, items are flagged Urgent.

3. Turn on the daily reorder digest email (top right) to get the list in your inbox instead of checking the page.

Acting on it

Use the Needs reorder filter to see only items asking for attention, then select Create purchase order to restock — the purchasing flow is documented in Inventory | Purchasing & Purchase Orders.

Tips

• Set reorder points on your A-items first; the velocity and days-of-stock columns tell you within a week whether your guess was right.

• Reorder point should cover your supplier's lead time plus a little: if a lamp takes 14 days to arrive and sells one a day, 20 is a saner point than 10.
