Customers | Tags
Label customers with tags and let the rules follow them — search visibility, B2B access and targeted marketing all key off customer tags.
Customer tags are the labels that make a crowd manageable. Add them on the customer's profile under Tags — trade, vip, newsletter-2026, whatever your operation needs.

What tags unlock
Search visibility rules — Settings → Search Controls can restrict product search results to signed-in customers carrying chosen tags (an Enterprise feature, and the backbone of trade-only catalogues).
Segments — dynamic groups built on tags among other conditions (see Customers | Segments).
Targeted marketing — campaigns aimed at a tagged audience rather than everyone.
Good habits
Name tags for what they grant or mean, not where they came from: trade-approved ages better than from-expo-booth.
Tag on approval, not on request — the tag is the access, so grant it when you mean it.
Tips
Product tags and customer tags are different creatures — products get merchandising labels, customers get access and audience labels.
