The Countdown Timer element shows a live count down to a date and time you set. Use it to build excitement for a sale, a product launch, or the end of an offer, and to encourage customers to act before time runs out. A ticking clock is a simple, effective way to create a sense of urgency.

Adding a Countdown Timer

To add a Countdown Timer to your page:

  • In the toolbox on the far left, click Elements.

  • Open the Advance group and find Countdown Timer, or search for it.

  • Drag it onto the canvas and drop it where you want it.

Content settings

Select the Countdown Timer and open the Content tab in the settings panel to edit:

  • Target date — the date and time the timer counts down to. When it is reached, the timer stops and shows your expired message.

  • Expired message — the words shown once the countdown has finished, such as Time is up!

  • Show days — a toggle for whether the days unit is shown in the timer.

  • Show hours — a toggle for whether the hours unit is shown.

  • Show minutes — a toggle for whether the minutes unit is shown.

  • Show seconds — a toggle for whether the seconds unit is shown.

  • Show labels — a toggle for whether the labels, such as Days and Hours, appear beneath each number.

Design settings

Open the Design tab to style the Countdown Timer, including its typography, colours, spacing, and alignment, so it stands out on your page. For a full explanation of the Design and Advanced tabs, see the Element Settings guide.

Why this is useful

A countdown timer adds urgency to a promotion, giving customers a clear reason to buy now rather than later. It is an easy way to make a limited-time offer feel genuinely time-limited.
