The Code element lets you add your own custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to a page. Use it to embed third-party widgets, custom markup, or scripts that are not covered by the other elements. It gives you a flexible way to add features that go beyond the standard building blocks.

Adding a Code element

To add a Code element to your page:

  • In the toolbox on the far left, click Elements.

  • Open the Advance group and find Code, or search for it.

  • Drag it onto the canvas and drop it where you want it.

Content settings

Select the Code element and open the Content tab in the settings panel to edit:

  • Code — the custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that runs in this element. Paste or type your code here, and it will appear on the page in place of the element. Take care to add only code you trust, as it runs on your live storefront.

Design settings

Open the Design tab to style the area around your code, including its spacing, background, borders, and alignment, so the embed sits neatly within your page. For a full explanation of the Design and Advanced tabs, see the Element Settings guide.

Why this is useful

The Code element gives you a way to add custom features and third-party tools without leaving the builder, so you are not limited to the standard elements when you need something bespoke.
