The Reports section in Orbit Commerce allows you to generate detailed reports to analyse your store’s performance across sales, orders, customers, finances, inventory, and acquisition behaviour.

The Reports section in Orbit Commerce allows you to generate detailed reports to analyse your store’s performance across sales, orders, customers, finances, inventory, and acquisition behaviour.

Reports help you understand how your store is performing over a selected time period, compare results against a previous period, and export data for further review or business analysis.

Accessing Reports

To access Reports:

  1. From the left-hand menu, go to Analytics.

  2. Select Reports.

The Reports page will open, showing all available report categories.

At the top of the page, you can use the search bar to quickly find a specific report.

Filtering Reports by Date

The Reports page includes date and comparison filters at the top-right of the screen.

You can use these options to:

  • Select the reporting period, such as Last 30 days

  • Compare the selected period against a Previous period

  • Refresh the report data using the refresh icon

Report Categories

Reports are organised into different categories, making it easier to find the type of data you need.

The available categories are:

  • All Reports

  • Sales

  • Orders

  • Customers

  • Finances

  • Inventory

  • Acquisition & Behaviour

Each category contains reports relevant to that area of your store.

All Reports

The All Reports tab displays every available report in one place.

Each report shows:

  • The report name

  • A short description

  • Whether comparison is available

  • Whether the report can be exported

  • A chevron icon to open the report

Sales Reports

The Sales category contains reports related to your store’s sales performance.

Available sales reports include:

  • Total sales over time
    View your total sales performance over a selected time period.

  • Net sales over time
    Track net sales after returns and discounts.

  • Average order value over time
    Monitor how your average order value changes over time.

  • Total sales by product
    See which products generate the most revenue.

  • Total sales by product variant
    Analyse sales performance by product variants.

  • Sales by customer name
    View sales attributed to individual customers.

  • Weekly sales patterns
    Discover patterns in your weekly sales data.

Orders Reports

The Orders category focuses on order volume, fulfilment, and delivery performance.

Available order reports include:

  • Orders over time
    Track the number of orders placed over time.

  • Order to fulfilment time
    Measure the average time from order placement to fulfilment.

  • Orders fulfilled over time
    Track fulfilment rates and completed orders.

  • Items ordered over time
    Monitor the total quantity of items ordered.

  • Shipping and delivery performance
    Analyse shipping times and delivery success rates.

Customer Reports

The Customers category provides insight into customer behaviour and customer activity.

Available customer reports include:

  • New vs returning customers
    Compare new customer acquisition against returning customers.

  • Customers by location
    See where your customers are located geographically.

  • New customer sales over time
    Track revenue generated by new customers.

  • One-time customers
    Identify customers who have only purchased once.

Finance Reports

The Finances category provides a financial overview of your store.

Available finance reports include:

  • Finance summary
    View a high-level overview of your financial performance.

  • Net sales by order
    View net sales broken down by individual orders.

  • Gross sales by order
    View gross sales before returns and discounts.

  • Payments by gateway summary
    Analyse payments processed through different gateways.

  • Total sales breakdown
    View a detailed breakdown of your total sales components.

Inventory Reports

The Inventory category helps you monitor stock performance and inventory value.

Available inventory reports include:

  • Month-end inventory snapshot
    View your inventory levels at the end of each month.

  • Month-end inventory value
    Track the total value of your inventory over time.

  • Products by percentage sold
    See which products sell the fastest relative to stock.

  • Inventory sold daily by product
    Track daily inventory movement for each product.

Acquisition & Behaviour Reports

The Acquisition & Behaviour category focuses on store traffic, visitor behaviour, searches, and conversion activity.

Available acquisition and behaviour reports include:

  • Sessions over time
    Track the number of sessions on your store.

  • Visitors over time
    Monitor unique visitor traffic to your store.

  • Sessions by location
    Analyse where your traffic is coming from geographically.

  • Conversion rate over time
    Track your store conversion rate over time.

  • Searches by search query
    See what customers are searching for on your store.

  • Storefront searches
    Analyse search behaviour and popular search terms.

Opening a Report

To open a report:

  1. Go to Analytics > Reports.

  2. Select the relevant report category.

  3. Find the report you want to view.

  4. Click the report row or the arrow icon on the right-hand side.

The report will open with the selected date range and comparison settings applied.

Exporting Reports

Many reports include an Export option.

To export a report:

  1. Find the report you want to export.

  2. Click Export on the right-hand side of the report row.

  3. Follow the export process to download or generate the report file.

Using Comparison

Some reports include a Comparison option.

This allows you to compare the selected date range against another period, such as the previous period. Comparison reports are useful for identifying whether performance has increased, decreased, or stayed consistent over time.

Searching for Reports

If you know which report you need, you can use the Search reports field at the top of the page.

Orbit will help you find matching reports more quickly.

Why Reports are important

Reports give you a deeper view of your store beyond the dashboard overview. They allow you to track performance trends, identify best-selling products, monitor order and fulfilment activity, review customer behaviour, and analyse financial or inventory data.
