The Navigation section in Orbit allows you to create and manage the menus shown across your storefront, such as your header, footer, and mobile menus. Each menu is made up of items that link to your pages, collections, products, or external sites.
From here you can create new menus, edit their items, duplicate a menu to reuse it as a starting point, and delete menus you no longer need.
Accessing Navigation
To access Navigation:
From the left-hand menu, go to Storefront.
Select Navigation.
The Navigation page will open, showing a list of your menus.

The menus list
The menus list shows every navigation menu in your store. Common menus include a Main menu for your header, a Footer menu, and a Mobile menu. Each row displays:
Name — the name of the menu and the number of items it contains.
Handle — the unique reference used to attach the menu to your theme.
Updated — when the menu was last changed.
Actions — open the menu to edit it, duplicate it, or delete it.
To create a new menu, click Create navigation in the top right. To make a copy of an existing menu, use its Actions menu and choose Duplicate — this is useful when you want a new menu that is similar to one you already have. To remove a menu, choose Delete from its Actions menu. Be careful when deleting menus, as any menu currently used by your storefront will no longer be shown.
Editing a menu
Select a menu from the list to open the editor. The page is split into two sections:
Navigation details — the name and handle of the menu.
Menu items — the links that make up the menu.

Navigation details
Enter a Name to identify the menu within your dashboard. The Handle is the unique reference your theme uses to display the menu in the right place, such as your header or footer. Change the handle only if you need to, as it controls where the menu appears.
Menu items
Each item in the menu has a Label and a Link. The Label is the text your customers see, and the Link is where the item takes them.
To add an item, enter a Label, then use the Link field to search for a page, collection, product, or brand to link to, or paste an external URL to link to another site. Repeat this for each item you want in the menu.
Adding sub-items
You can nest items beneath one another to build drop-down menus. Beneath any item, click Add sub-item to add a child item, then give it its own label and link. Sub-items can themselves contain further sub-items, supporting menus up to three levels deep.
To remove an item, click Remove next to it. Removing an item also removes any sub-items nested beneath it.
Reordering items
Items appear in the menu in the order they are listed. Use the drag handle to the left of an item to drag it into a new position, including moving it in and out of a parent item. The order you set here is the order your customers will see on your storefront.
Saving your changes
When you are happy with the menu, click Save to apply your changes. Your storefront will be updated to reflect the new menu. To leave without saving, click Cancel.
Why navigation menus are important
Clear navigation helps customers find products and pages quickly, which makes for a better shopping experience and can lead to more sales. Managing your menus in one place means you can keep your store easy to browse as your catalogue grows.
By using the Navigation section, you can:
Build the menus shown in your header, footer, and on mobile
Link items to pages, collections, products, or external sites
Group related links into drop-down menus up to three levels deep
Reorder items so the most important links come first
Duplicate menus to reuse a layout you have already built
The Navigation section gives you full control over how customers move around your storefront.
