Orders | Returns

The Returns section in Orbit allows you to view and manage customer return requests from one central area. It helps you track the return status, understand the reason for return, check the refund amount, and review the related order details.

The Returns section in Orbit allows you to view and manage customer return requests from one central area. It helps you track the return status, understand the reason for return, check the refund amount, and review the related order details.

Accessing Returns

To access returns:

  • From the left-hand menu, go to Orders.

  • Click Returns.

This opens the Returns page, where all return records are listed.

Returns overview

The Returns page displays a table of return records.

At the top of the page, you can filter returns by status:

  • All

  • Requested

  • Approved

  • Received

  • Completed

  • Declined

  • Canceled

You can also use the search bar to search by return number or order number.

Return list columns

Each return record includes the following information:

  • Return # — The unique return reference number, such as RET-0001.

  • Order # — The related order number.

  • Customer — The customer associated with the return.

  • Items — The number of items included in the return.

  • Resolution — The return outcome, such as refund.

  • Status — The current return status, such as completed.

  • Date — The date the return was created or recorded.

To open a return, click the relevant return record from the list.

Viewing an individual return

When you open a return, Orbit displays the full return details.

At the top of the page, you can see:

  • The return number

  • The current status

  • The date and time the return was created

  • The selected resolution, such as refund

Return items

The Return Items section shows the products included in the return.

This section includes:

  • Product — The returned product name and SKU.

  • Reason — The customer’s reason for returning the item.

  • Qty — The quantity being returned.

  • Condition — The condition of the returned item, such as new.

  • Refund — The refund amount for the item.

At the bottom of this section, Orbit displays the Total Refund amount.

Related order details

The Order section shows the order connected to the return.

This includes:

  • The original order number

  • The customer name

You can use this to quickly identify which order the return relates to.

Shipping label

The Shipping Label section shows whether a return shipping label is attached.

If no label has been created or added, Orbit will display No shipping label.

Timeline

The Timeline section shows the return activity history.

This can include events such as:

  • Return created

  • Items received

  • Return reviewed

Each timeline entry includes the date and time of the action, helping you track the progress of the return from creation to completion.

Why Returns are important

Returns are an important part of the post-purchase customer experience. The Returns section helps you keep track of requested, approved, received, completed, declined, and cancelled returns, making it easier to manage refunds, returned items, and customer follow-ups accurately.
