Setting Up Payment Providers

Accept payments securely with Orbit's integrated payment options.

Orbit Payments powered by Stripe offers the lowest transaction fees and fastest payout times. We recommend it for most merchants.

Supported Providers

Orbit Payments (Powered by Stripe) - Credit/Debit cards - Apple Pay & Google Pay - SEPA, iDEAL, Bancontact - Buy Now Pay Later

PayPal - PayPal balance - Credit/Debit via PayPal - Pay in 4

Other Options - Klarna - Clearpay/Afterpay - Amazon Pay - Bank transfer

Setting Up Orbit Payments

Step 1: Enable 1. Go to **Settings > Payments** 2. Click **Orbit Payments** 3. Click **Get Started**

Step 2: Connect Stripe 1. Create/login to Stripe 2. Authorize connection 3. Complete verification

Step 3: Configure - Enable card payments - Enable wallets (Apple/Google Pay) - Set statement descriptor - Configure 3D Secure

Your statement descriptor is what customers see on their bank statements. Use your brand name to avoid chargebacks from confused customers.

Setting Up PayPal

  1. Go to **Settings > Payments**
  2. Click **PayPal**
  3. Click **Connect**
  4. Login to PayPal Business
  5. Authorize Orbit
  6. Enable on checkout

Testing Payments

Always test your payment flow thoroughly before going live. A broken checkout costs you sales and damages customer trust.

Test Mode 1. Enable test mode in settings 2. Use test card numbers: - Success: 4242 4242 4242 4242 - Decline: 4000 0000 0000 0002 3. Any future date & CVV

Test Orders - Place test orders - Verify confirmation emails - Check dashboard records - Test refunds

Going Live

  • Before going live:
  • ✅Verify business details
  • ✅Connect bank account
  • ✅Test all payment methods
  • ✅Review fraud settings
  • ✅Disable test mode

Never share your Stripe secret key or PayPal API credentials. If compromised, regenerate them immediately and contact support.
