Managing Inventory

Keep your inventory accurate and never oversell with Orbit's inventory management.

Inventory Overview

Access your inventory dashboard at Products > Inventory.

Stock Status Products are categorized by: - **In Stock**: Available for purchase - **Low Stock**: Below threshold - **Out of Stock**: Zero inventory - **Incoming**: Expected shipments

Setting Up Inventory

Enable Tracking 1. Edit a product 2. Check **Track inventory** 3. Enter starting quantity 4. Save

Stock Locations For multi-location businesses: 1. Go to **Settings > Locations** 2. Add warehouse/store locations 3. Assign inventory to locations

Low Stock Alerts

Never run out unexpectedly:

  1. Go to **Settings > Notifications**
  2. Enable **Low Stock Alerts**
  3. Set threshold (e.g., 10 units)
  4. Choose notification method

Adjusting Stock

Manual Adjustment 1. Go to product or inventory page 2. Edit quantity 3. Add reason (correction, damage, etc.) 4. Save

Bulk Updates 1. Go to **Products > Inventory** 2. Click **Export** 3. Edit CSV file 4. Import updated file

Inventory Reports

  • Track your inventory health:
  • **Stock Value Report**: Total inventory value
  • **Movement Report**: Stock in/out
  • **Velocity Report**: Fast/slow movers
  • **Forecast**: Projected stockouts
