Before You Change

Backup Current Theme 1. Go to **Online Store > Themes** 2. Click **Actions** on current theme 3. Select **Download Theme File** 4. Save backup locally

Document Customizations Note your current: - Color settings - Font choices - Custom CSS - Menu structure - Homepage sections

In-Dashboard 1. Go to **Online Store > Themes** 2. Click **Explore Theme Store** 3. Browse and preview

Installing a Theme

Free Themes 1. Click **Install** 2. Theme appears in library 3. Click **Customize** to set up 4. Publish when ready

Premium Themes 1. Click **Buy** (one-time or subscription) 2. Complete purchase 3. Theme installs automatically 4. Begin customization

Migrating Content

What Transfers Automatically - Products and collections - Pages and blogs - Customer data - Order history

What Needs Setup - Homepage layout - Color scheme - Typography - Menu structure - Custom sections

Theme Customization

Using the Editor 1. Click **Customize** 2. Use left panel for settings 3. Preview changes live 4. Save frequently

Sections & Blocks - Add new sections - Rearrange order - Configure each block - Remove unused sections

Publishing

Preview First 1. Use preview link 2. Test on mobile 3. Check all pages 4. Verify checkout

Going Live 1. In theme library 2. Click **Actions** 3. Select **Publish** 4. New theme is now live

• Switch back anytime

• Delete when confident
